Carsten Plumbing & Rooter was built on extensive field experience across the Pacific Northwest. Our background includes drain cleaning, service, remodel, new construction, and commercial plumbing—homes, restaurants, apartments, office buildings, and new bathrooms and kitchens plumbed into downtown Portland high-rises and historic buildings.

Our experience supports consistent delivery of quality workmanship with courtesy, integrity, and timeliness. Expect quality results on every job, big or small, from clogged drains to full remodels.

While our slogan is a play on words, CPR being the initials of our company name, our logo is yet a further play on symbols. The wrench represents plumbing, while the snake represents rooter—unclogging drains. While CPR is a kind of medical reference, our logo resembles the snake and staff symbol known as the “Caduceus,” or the “Rod of Asclepius,” which has a long history of being associated with medicine and healing. If your plumbing is sick, maybe it’s time for some CPR.

a few words from Chris

In Idaho I worked for a shop which specialized in remodel plumbing on high-end historic homes. I learned how to improve a plumbing system without compromising the appearance or integrity of some extremely valuable properties. It was by far the most difficult work I’ve done in the plumbing trade. I’m glad to say I gained some valuable experience from those days in the field.
